Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of applegreenshop.com. By browsing the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “the site” mean applegreenshop.com, and “you” means the person reading it.

1. What this site is

applegreenshop.com publishes research and commentary about televisions, streaming media players, antennas, TV mounts and small kitchen appliances. It is a publisher, not a retailer. We hold no stock, take no orders, ship nothing and process no payments, and we cannot cancel, refund, return, replace or repair anything bought elsewhere. Your contract is with the seller you bought from, and their terms, returns policy and warranty apply.

2. Permitted use

You may read, print and share our pages for your own non-commercial use. You may not scrape the site at a rate that burdens the server, republish substantial parts of our writing, attempt unauthorized access to the site or its infrastructure, upload anything malicious, or use the contact form for spam, threats or bulk marketing. We may block any address that does these things, without notice.

3. Information only, not professional advice

Everything here is general information for a general audience. It is not professional advice and must not be treated as electrical, structural, installation, safety, financial or legal advice for your situation. Read it as a starting point for your own research and consult a qualified professional where the decision warrants one.

4. How our content is produced, and its limits

Our write-ups are built from manufacturer specifications, published retail listing data and aggregated buyer feedback. We do not physically test, use, measure or own the products described, and we publish no performance measurements of our own. Where we quote a figure, it comes from the manufacturer or from the listing.

Specifications, model numbers, packaging contents, regional variants and availability change without notice, and manufacturers revise products without renaming them. Our source listing data comes from Amazon and is frequently inconsistent: spec tables contradict product titles, weights are recorded two different ways, and plainly wrong attributes appear on listings. We flag contradictions where we spot them, but we cannot warrant that any specification here is current, complete or correct. Before you buy, check the current listing and the manufacturer’s documentation. Those govern, not us.

5. Reception is not guaranteed

Range figures printed on antenna packaging are marketing estimates. They assume unobstructed line of sight to the transmitter, which almost nobody has. What your address actually receives depends on terrain, buildings and trees between you and the tower, the real distance to the transmitters, the height and orientation of the antenna, and the quality of the cable and connections.

We cannot tell you which channels you will get, and neither can a range number on a box. Two homes on the same street can get different results. Check a broadcast coverage map for your address before buying, and treat any range claim here as the manufacturer’s claim, not a prediction about your home.

6. Streaming services change

Which apps a streaming player or smart television offers, which codecs a service delivers to a given device, which resolution or high dynamic range format you actually receive, and what a subscription costs are decided by the service providers and the platform owners. They change without notice and sit outside our control and the device manufacturer’s control alike. An app present today can be withdrawn, renamed, restricted by region or moved behind a different subscription tier tomorrow. Nothing here promises that a particular service will work on a particular device.

7. Mounting, installation and appliance safety

Wall mounting a television is a structural job. It means locating real structural support behind the wall surface, matching the mount’s VESA hole pattern to the television, staying inside the mount’s stated weight limit with a margin, and using fixings suited to the wall material. Drywall anchors alone are not structural support. We publish manufacturer specifications only. We do not inspect your wall and cannot tell you whether a given mount is safe in your home.

A television falling from a wall is a serious injury risk, particularly to children. Follow the mount manufacturer’s instructions, follow the television manufacturer’s instructions, and use a qualified installer wherever there is any doubt at all. Read the anti-tip guidance supplied with the television as well.

For kitchen appliances: a countertop appliance sold for the United States market runs on 120 volt household power. Some listings in this catalog record an incorrect voltage, so treat any voltage or wattage figure here as unverified. The rating plate on the appliance governs. Never plug an appliance into a supply that does not match its rating plate, do not run high draw appliances through lightweight extension cords, and follow the manufacturer’s manual for cleaning, oil levels, pressure release, venting and clearances. Cooking appliances get hot enough to burn and to start fires when misused.

8. Affiliate relationship

applegreenshop.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases, and outbound links may pass through a redirect so that a referral can be recorded. The price you pay is unchanged. Full details are in our affiliate disclosure. Participation in that program does not make us an agent of Amazon or of any manufacturer, nor them responsible for what we write.

9. Third-party links

Links to other websites are provided for convenience. We do not control them, do not endorse everything on them, and are not responsible for their content, products, availability or handling of your data. Once you leave applegreenshop.com, the destination site’s terms and privacy policy apply.

10. No warranty

The site and everything on it are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error free, or that defects will be corrected. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for lost profits, lost data, property damage or personal injury, arising out of your use of this site or your reliance on anything published here, including any purchase, installation or reception expectation based on our content. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence and liability for fraud.

12. Intellectual property

The writing, page structure and original graphics on this site belong to us. Product images, names, model numbers, logos and specification text belong to their manufacturers and rights holders and identify the products discussed. See our copyright page for permitted use and the notice procedure if you believe material here infringes your rights.

13. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms as the site changes. The version published here is the one that applies, and using the site after a revision means you accept it. We may also change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction in which the operator of this site is established. We have deliberately not printed a company name, a state or a country here, because we are not going to invent one. Nothing in this clause removes the protection of mandatory consumer law where you live. If any provision of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest continue in force.
