Our content

The original writing on applegreenshop.com, along with the page layouts, original graphics, category structure and the way the material is selected and arranged, is our work and is protected by copyright. You may read it, print it for your own use, quote a short passage with clear attribution and a link back to the page you took it from, and share a link to any page freely.

What you may not do without written permission: republish a write-up in whole or in substantial part, feed the site to a scraper or a content mill, spin our text into a near copy, or present our material as your own. Copying a page and adding your own affiliate links to it is exactly the thing this paragraph exists to stop.

Product images, names and specifications

The product photographs, brand names, model numbers, logos and specification text that appear on this site are not ours. They belong to the manufacturers, to Amazon and to their respective rights holders. They appear here to identify the products under discussion, which is what product photography and model names are for.

Product images and listing data are supplied through the Amazon Associates program and are displayed under the terms of that program. Trademarks named on this site remain the property of their owners, and naming a product is not a claim of affiliation with, sponsorship by or endorsement from its manufacturer. Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates. If you want to reuse a manufacturer’s image or specification sheet, ask the manufacturer, not us. We cannot grant permission for material we do not own.

If you believe your work has been used here without permission

We take this seriously and we would rather fix a problem than argue about it. If you own the rights to material published on this site and it is here without your permission, send a notice to [email protected] with the subject line “Copyright notice”.

To let us act quickly, please include the following, which broadly tracks what section 512(c)(3) of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act asks for:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed, or a representative list if several works are involved.
  • The exact URL or URLs on applegreenshop.com where the material appears, precise enough that we can find it without guessing.
  • Your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  • A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

We will review the notice and, where it is well founded, remove or disable access to the material. We may also tell the person who submitted the material that we received the notice.

One point of honesty, because it matters legally: we have not registered a designated agent with the United States Copyright Office, so please do not treat this address as a registered DMCA agent. It is a working contact address that reaches the people who run the site, and a properly detailed notice sent to it will be acted on. If you need to serve a formal notice on the host rather than the publisher, you can approach the hosting provider directly through their published abuse channel.

Counter notices and mistakes

If we remove something and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, write to the same address and explain why, including the URL of the removed material and your contact details. We will look again. Filing a notice that knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing can carry liability for damages under United States law, so please be sure before you send one.

Permission requests

To license or reproduce something we wrote, or to ask about syndication, write to [email protected] and describe what you want to use and where. A short quotation with attribution and a link generally needs no permission at all.
